#1 Xemnas |
First Appearance |
Kingdom Hearts II, 2006 |
The Superior Xemnas is the first member, as well as the founder of Organization XIII. His true name was Xehanort, but chose to go with the name of his former mentor Ansem. All of the Nobodies are under his control, as well as the other members. He is the most powerful member, and as such no one dares confront him openly. even Marluxia dared not confront him without the aid of Axel, Larxene, and Sora under his control. This was even seen with Vexen, when she went to destroy Sora at the very fear of being reported to Xemnas. He wields dual-aerial blades, and uses the element of nothingness. |
|
#2 Xigbar |
First Appearance |
Kingdom Hearts II, 2006 |
The freeshooter Xigbar is more of a laid back member of the organization. He has somewhat of a cocky attitude towards others, and loves to taunt Sora and company. He seemingly likes doing recon and missions, as opposed to the high authority jobs his rank should grant him. While he is not on missions, he spends time evesdropping on other members of the organization. He relies greatly on his instinct, rather than intellect in battle, seemingly suggesting he was something other than just a scientist in his real life. He wields two machine guns, thus giving him the title of freeshooter. He also utilizes the element of Gravity. |
|
#3 Xaldin |
First Appearance |
Kingdom Hearts II, 2006 |
The Whirlwind Lancer Xaldin is a very independent member of the organization. He prefers to work alone, rather than with other members, and does so through his entire existance. Xaldin is one of the more sadistic members, and revels in others despair. He has a very strong build, and is highly acrobatic. He wields six Ginsu Lances, and uses the element of wind. This gives a great boost for his acrobatics and his fighting. |
|
#4 Vexen |
First Appearance |
Chain of Memories, 2004 |
The Chilly Academic Vexen is very much a scientist, and approaches all issues with a hypothesis, and a method in which to test the hypothesis. He was the creator of the Riku-Replica, while Sora was climbing Castle Oblivion. He was quick to display fear of Xemnas, and bow to Marluxia, when he failed to defeat Sora with his experiment. His chair is the lowest of all the members, and is mostly due to his incompitence and want to not sully his hands so to speak. He wields a giant shield, and utilizes the element of ice. He met his end at the hands of Axel, while Sora was climbing the steps of Castle Oblivion. |
|
#5 Lexaeus |

Once Vexen was destroyed, and the Riku-Replica went out on its own, Lexaeus takes the situation into his own hands. He finds Riku, and try's to convince him to give into the darkness, and use that power. Riku refuses, and they battle, Riku is knocked unconcience, allowing Ansem to gain control over his body. He then defeats Lexaeus utterly. |
|
#6 Zexion |
First Appearance |
Chain of Memories, 2004 |
The Cloaked Schemer Zexion loves nothing more than deception. His approach to fighting is unique in the organization. Rather than hand to hand combat, he wields the element of illusion. His ability to sense others is beyond normal prowerse. He can tell of a persons darkness, or their power from a great distance with his scent. Zexion tried to deceive Riku after Lexaeus was defeated by telling him Sora would never accept his corrupt heart. He gave him a card to Destiny Island, where Riku fights a Darkside himself. Sora then appears, and traps Riku in radiant light. Namine' then aids Riku by telling him to draw on the darkness to strike Sora. When he does, Zexion materializes, and the fight. Though mortally wounded, Zexion makes it to a room where Axel and the Riku Replica are. Axel then instructs the replica to destroy Zexion, thus making Axel the last member to survive in Castle Oblivion. |
|
#7 Saix |
First Appearance |
Kingdom Hearts II, 2006 |
The Luna Diviner Next to Xemnas, Xaix is perhaps the most "Nobody" like of the organization. He shows as a cold, emotionless, and efficient opperative for the members. Most of the time he is very calm, and keeps his composure, no matter how dire the circumstances. It is not until a brief exchange of words with Xemnas in the final room of Castle Oblivion where he asks: "can end this charade.", to wich Xemnas replies: "indeed". It is then that the true nature of Saix is revealed. A savage out of control beast, bordering on lunacy. Perhaps this is brought on by the element of the moon being under his control. He wields a massive claymore, and is second in command to Xemnas. |
|
#8 Axel |
First Appearance |
Chain of Memories, 2004 |
Flurry of Dancing Flames Axel is something of an oddity in the organization, as well as a Nobody. Viewed as a trump card, Axel says he is against treachery, but seems to stir it up to suit his own ends at the same time. He was responsible for Sora defeating Marluxia in Castle Oblivion. But it was Roxas that seemingly changed Axel. He and Roxas became fast friends, and Axel is actually the one who convinced him to join. When Roxas decided to leave the oganization, Axel became very distraught. He betrays the entire organization for his friendship with Roxas, and continues to somewhat aid Sora through his journey. In the end, he arrives in the Betwix and Between, though badly injured, to help Sora again. He uses his last bit of strength to destroy all of the Nobodies. He then speaks to a saddened sora and says: "He...was the only one I liked...he made me feel...like I had a heart. You make me feel...the same...." In all honesty, of all the organization members, Zemnas included, it was perhaps Axel who was the smartest, and has done more thinking about the situations than any other. |
|
#9 Demyx |
First Appearance |
Kingdom Hearts II, 2006 |
The Melodious Nocturne Demyx is somewhat of a coward, with a almost friendly, casual demeanor. Despite is great power within the organization, he seemingly always runs from his fights. Even in battles, Demyx cries a sort of yip, when he is hit. He is even mocked by Sora on their encounters, complaining of his cowardness, but undernieth is yet another cold emotionless entity. Demyx wileds a Sitar, and uses this to control his element of water. Unlike most the other members, he is able to make the water take shape and attack his enemy. All the water entities must be defeated within a certain amount of time, or his advisary will die. Really, with all this power, you would think he would be a little stronger... |
|
#10 Luxord |
First Appearance |
Kingdom Hearts II, 2006 |
The Gambler of Fate Luxord is something of a gambling man. His weapons show this almost as much as his personality. Even when he has Sora and Jack looking for the medallions in Port Royal, there is still a game undertone within the mission. He is also something of a rhetoric, with a higher vocabulary than most. His unique British accent gives him an air of sophistication as well. Luxord is also not one to waste time with talk. His desire to begin his gambling (fights) is just too powerful to place the time for small talk. He wields his deck of giant cards, and controlls the element of time. His arsenal also includes playing dice. |
|
#11 Marluxia |
First Appearance |
Chain of Memories, 2004 |
The Graceful Assassin Marluxia is a member with few good qualities. Perhaps his greatest is the desire to succeed in the goals he has set. He is very adamant, and will stop at nothign to see them come to fruition. If there was not such a desire for power, Marluxia could well have become the most deadly of the organization. But his lust for power, and traiterous nature made this near impossible. He was given control of Castle Oblivion, and immediately took the power too seriously. He began to become obssesive with his power voer the other members in the castle. He used his power to keep other members under his control. He even manipulates Vexen into fighting Sora, over his fear of Xemnas. Marluxia wields the element of nature, and utilizes a flury of floral attacks. He wields a skythe similar to that of Death's own weapon, and has a death attack that robs the opponent of time. It was Sora, who finally defeated Marluxia, after Axel betrayed him in Castle Oblivion by setting Namine free. Marluxia wanted to control Sora to utilize the keyblade wielder as a weapon to overthrow the organization. In the end lust for power cost him his existance. Marluxia was the last to fade into nothing at the hand of Sora in Chain of Memories. |
|
#12 Larxene |
First Appearance |
Chain of Memories, 2004 |
The Savage Nymph Larxene is almost always smiling, and even at times seems as bit flirtatious. Even showing an air of kindness with Namine. This however is a smokescreen for the true nature of her. she is very much a cruel and sadistic person, who loves nothing more than to see others suffer hardships and anguish. She is quick to turn on the charm, to give a person a false sense of security, only to attack within the next few moments. She was even showing a bit of flirtation with Axel, however this seemed to be more to scare him, rather than that of true interest. Her weapon of choice seemingly is that of small Kunai's, and she wields the element of thunder with the greatest of ease. Though she is one tough opponent, so much so that her kicking Sora made Donald have to cast Cure on him, Sora finally got the upper hand, and defeated her. She was the first of the XIII to fall at Sora's hands. |
|
#13 Roxas |
First Appearance |
Chain of Memories, 2004 |
The Key of Destiny When Sora used the Keyblade to free Kairi's heart, Roxas was born from him. He appeared in Twilight Town, and that is where he first met the organization. Xemnas approached him, and asked for him to join the ranks. He refused, and went on his way. Not too long after, he witnessed the activities of three kids known as Pence, Hayner, and Olette. Though he was a Nobody, he got feelings of being jealous. Axel, seeing this took interest in Roxas. He spoke to Roxas on top of the clock tower, and there their friendship grew. Axel convinces Roxas to join the organization. Through his time with the organization, Roxas became increasingly impatient with the strange dreams he has of Sora, and the answers to why he can wield the keyblade. He abandons Organization XIII to find the answers out for himself. Axel, knowing of Sora's location at the time, tries to stop his friend from going onward. He explains the Organization will destroy him for betrayal. Roxas, though hearing his friend continues on his journey. Riku steps in Roxas's way, and after a lengthy confrontation, manages to knock him out. Diz then has Namine erase his memories of the organization, and places him in a digital Twilight Town, until he and Sora can be rejoined. Roxas has the unique ability to wield two keyblades at the same time, Oblivion and Oathkeeper. Each represent Sora's two best friends Riku and Kairi. He also controls the element of light, though he is not really sure as to why. |
