Gummi Ship Blueprints

As you know, Gummi Ships are what allow Sora and his allies to traverse the space between worlds in a relatively safe manner. This being said, the mystery around the Gummi blocks and making ships is still not widely understood. This is where the blueprints of ships from around the universe come into play. Every ship found has a certain set of stats that can easily make or break any given mission. Choices become vast through the course of the game, and one does not even really need to keep the ship as it is. Additions can be made to enhance just about anything there is.
These Blueprints appear after certain missions are accomplished and when the necessary materials for construction are provided. Basically you can find a blueprint right off the bat, but unless you have the material to make it, you cannot use the ship.
There are three standard models found in the game: Highwind, Invincible, and Falcon.

The Highwind series are a group of well balanced models, using the least amount of blocks to accomplish this.

The Falcon series focuses on attack power and strength. If you know you can maneuver easily, you certainly want to go for the attack power.

The Invincible series focuses on high HP. These are definitely the ones to go for when it comes to really hard tight areas, such as Assault on the Dreadnought. The higher HP can ensure survival where it normally would not happen.

Special Blueprints

In addition to the three regular blueprint types, Special Models are also found throughout the game. They are mostly achieved when not only do you finish the mission, you exceed the mission expectations. More often than not, the blueprints obtained are references to Final Fantasy mainstays. Similar to those found in the original Kingdom Hearts. (But much better)
